SA: SA magistrate found guilty of child sex offences

ADELAIDE, Aug 10 AAP - A South Australian magistrate was convicted today of two child
sex offences.

Michael Esmond Frederick, 57, was found guilty by a SA District Court jury of one count
of unlawful sexual intercourse and one count of indecent assault.

He was found not guilty of three other counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.

The offences occurred between January and October 1983, four years before Frederick
was appointed a magistrate.

The girl was aged 15 or 16 at the time of the offences.
