Fed: Wind industry says future at risk without higher target

CANBERRA, Jan 15 AAP - The future of the wind energy industry will be at risk if an
inquiry decides against increasing renewable energy targets, it was claimed today.

The report of the inquiry into the future of the federal government's Mandatory Renewable
Energy Targets (MRET) policy is due to be released tomorrow.

The MRET policy requires industry to source a percentage of energy
from renewable sources, such as wind and solar power.
